CO-CREATING THE THIRD ATTRACTOR

Tiruvannamalai vs. the MetaCrisis

EVENTS

30.10.2025
THE THIRD ATTRACTOR is a path beyond breakdown or domination.  Daniel Schmachtenberger put this term in play a few years ago.  It helps us think toward the disruption of our inherited systems in a manner that does not end with authoritarian control or anarchic regression.

Here's what Daniela Bomatter says:

The term Third Attractor is one among many similar visions for a transformed future—others include Regenerative Civilization, Metamodern Society, Game B, The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible, Planetary Civilization, The Integral Age (or Next Stage of Human Evolution), The Great Transition, Symbiotic Civilization, The Noosphere or Omega Point, Civilizational Awakening, and the Second Renaissance—each offering a unique lens on the emergence of a conscious, sustainable, and evolutionary civilization."

Who is Daniela Bomatter?  You can look it up here.  She was a student and partner of the recently deceased teacher of Evolutionary Spirituality, Andrew Cohen.  Now, she is helping to guide the Manifest Nirvana Ashram in convening a special event and a series of complementary discussions to address the inner and outer dynamics of benign planetary transformation.

Their Third Attractor Laboratory is taking place in Tiruvannamalai (a very fun name to say) from January 13th to January 19th, 2026.

It is coupled to a series of research interviews with people like Catherine Pawasarat, Layman Pascal, Rufus Pollock, Daniel Pinchbeck, Diane Musho Hamilton, Elizabeth Debold, Brandon Norgaard, Bruce Alderman, Rob Smith, Holly Woods, and others.

To get up to speed, here is an AI summary of 10 overlapping points surfaced from the initial discussions concerning the needs of a viable third attractor:

1. Evolutionary Responsibility. Human beings are not separate observers but co-agents of evolution itself. The new attractor begins when we assume responsibility for guiding the evolutionary process rather than exploiting it.

2. Sacred Interdependence. Reality is a living, non-dual field in which all beings and systems are mutually arising. Ethics flow from felt inter-being with the planet, ecosystems, and one another.

 3. Conscious Agency and Moral Maturity.  Freedom without wisdom collapses into chaos; order without consciousness hardens into control. The Third Attractor requires inner development—psychological, spiritual, and ethical—equal to our technological power.

 4. Integral Pluralism.  Multiple truths, cultures, and developmental stages must coexist within a shared coherence. Inclusion does not mean relativism but integration—honoring partial truths while transcending polarization.

 5. Regenerative Relationship with Nature.  The economy, technology, and governance of the new world are nested within living ecological systems. Sustainability is replaced by regeneration and reciprocity with Earth.

 6. Co-Creative Flourishing.  Life’s impulse is to create. The Third Attractor values creativity, play, beauty, and purpose as intrinsic to evolution—“flourishing as participation in cosmic creativity.”

7. Distributed Coherence and Networked Intelligence.
Instead of centralized domination or anarchic fragmentation, power and knowledge flow through resilient, “fractal” networks of cooperation—networks of networks able to self-organize intelligently.

8. Inner Transformation as Cultural Infrastructure.
Systemic change depends on states of consciousness. Practices of awakening, grief, dialogue, and presence are social technologies for stabilizing the next civilization.

 9. Transparent and Accountable Systems.  Political and economic institutions must embody transpersonal integrity—rule of law, fairness, and accountability decoupled from wealth and status—to maintain collective trust.

10. Post-Rivalrous Cooperation.  The Third Attractor transcends the “multipolar trap” of competition for scarce power and resources. It cultivates abundance, empathy, and shared learning so that success for one enhances the whole.
