Tomás de Lara is the Initiator and Co-leader of Ciudades+B / Cities CAN B (Multi sectorial initiative to foster civic engagement and social and environmental good practices), co-founder and co-chair of Colaboramerica (International festival on new economies), Member of the board of Sistema B Brasil (B Corps Movement), member of the advisory board of CEBDS (Brazilian Business Council For Sustainable Development) co-founder Goma, (co-owning space and collaborative ecosystem of social entrepreneurs), and co-founder of Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre’s Hub of Global Shapers Community from the World Economic Forum.
He specialises in collaborative and sustainable economies and is a teacher at several of Brazil’s leading social innovation schools. Tomás now focuses his research on new forms of organisations that foster the shift of old competitive EGOcentric paradigms to ECOcentric and purpose driven businesses.
